He previously served as an advisor to Governor Rick Perry on environmental issues, oil and gas, and property rights. Tucker served as Special Counsel at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality before becoming the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for the agency. He also served as the Committee Director and General Counsel for the Texas Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development, where he advised on legal, legislative, and political matters.
